Collagen induction therapy (CIT) microneedling, is an aesthetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles in order to induce tissue remodeling via endogenous production of cutaneous collagen.
Benefits from this treatment are endless and are essential for ensuring normal barrier function, hydration and plumpness, as well as even pigmentation and general skin vitality.
Skin needling is the only rejuvenation treatment that maximises penetration of essential cell nutrients and release of growth factors associated with the positive aspects of wound healing simultaneously.
We are proud to set our goals high in pursuit of flawless skin and we totally believe that healthy skin is always in vogue.
An excellent result with CIT procedure can be achieved improving skin disorders and conditions such as:
*When treating face we utilise the needles ranging between 0.25 to 1.5mm length.
During this treatment we always apply a topical anesthetic cream, leaving it for 20 – 40 minutes.
Most patients report this treatment to be pain free. This is a non-invasive treatment with no prior preparation required. However, one essential point to note is, that for this treatment we are very active on pore cleaning, blackheads and comedones removal, so please expect a slightly longer downtime, and we guarantee it will be worth it.
In order for us to provide you with the best possible service and to achieve the optimal results, we recommend coming in for a consultation, where we will thoroughly examine your skin and assess your unique complexion (your SKIN ID). We will take your full medical history and your lifestyle characteristics into account, in order to establish your key concerns and to ensure that you are advised on the most suitable treatment tailored for your unique skin.
In order to achieve optimal results, we use active ingredients and most advanced techniques. However, it is not unusual for the skin to display slight rosiness or post treatment redness, which will normally diminish within the 48 hours post procedure. It is especially likely for the skin to appear blemished after deep cleanse, when treating acne and heavy congestion.
In the rare event some patients may develop an allergic reaction causing temporary rash, which could last up to several days.
As highly skilled professionals we always want to ensure that our clients get the best possible care and advice prior and post treatment. Therefore, we kindly ask you to fully inform us of your medical history, changes in skin condition, reactions and sensitivity, as well as sun exposure and any medication you are currently taking.
Like with any treatment, there may be some side effects associated with CIT, one of the most common ones being bruising. To avoid possible bruising we recommend taking Arnica supplement at least 3 days prior the procedure. In addition, when preventing skin from dehydration, all topical products after needling should:
Finally, we advice patients to avoid sweaty exercise and sun exposure for 72 hours post-procedure
IMPORTANT: Microchannels created during the procedure may remain open up to 24 hours. Unexpected complications may occur when products not proven safe for use with microneedling are applied post procedure.
Unfortunately, CIT cannot be performed during pregnancy or lactation periods; however, we can still treat our clients during this precious time, using our proven products and pregnancy safe techniques.
If you have skin issues while you are pregnant, it can be due to hormonal changes within, which, unfortunately, we cannot change. However, we can work with your skin making sure it looks and feels healthier, so that it is in a better shape and ready to be treated postpartum.
Yes, but it depends on your skin condition. It may take up to several treatments to get your skin into its optimal health. We normally advise you to start such treatments a year before the set date, and to have the final treatment 4-6 weeks before the ‘big day’.
As an alternative we would recommend our skin boost treatments, which would require minimum downtime and would achieve your desired results in a shorter span of time.
