As promised, I’m back with another blog post. This week, with the ever-changing weather, intense storms and a super moon, it’s the perfect opportunity to introduce the importance of seasonal skincare. As I’m in the UK, I’ll be focusing on battling the unpredictable climate here.
Our skin values consistency, so, when the weather changes, it can be a shock to the system. While we can’t do anything about the weather, we can prepare our skin correctly so that we can take on all elements with confidence.
If it feels like you’ve nailed your skincare routine, then suddenly it’s just not working for you anymore, it may be down to the seasonal changes. With each new season and in extreme cases, each day, our skin requires a customised routine to combat specific conditions. Even if you’ve found your favourite moisturiser or toner, you can’t automatically presume it’s suitable for use all-year-round. While I’m about to break it down into each season for you, you should be aware that often we require much more specific and specialist skincare. Remember, great skin doesn’t happen by chance; it happens by appointment!
So, you’ve made it through winter, after months of battling dry skin and tired eyes thanks to alternating between hot and cold and wind and rain. Now that you’re done hibernating, your skin is most definitely ready to make the shift for spring.
Top tips:
The sun is shining (hopefully) and we’re spending more time outside. As we hope to top up our tans and indulge in late evenings of great food and good wine, our skincare most definitely shouldn’t take a backseat during the summer.
Top tips:
Our skin can go through a lot during the summer, with lots of exposure to the sun and various lifestyle factors that can contribute, Autumn is a great time to replenish. As the temperatures drop and the days get shorter, Autumn is the perfect season to hone in on rehydrating our skin and prepare to fight off the elements of winter before they come.
Top tips:
As we face plummeting temperatures, harsh winds and central heating, radiant skin can become harder to achieve. Therefore, it’s vital we take steps to adjust our skincare routine to suit the elements.

When it comes to skincare, I could write a book! But, for now, I’ll leave it there. If you’d like to book a consultation so we can create a fully customised plan to survive each season, please get in touch!
